Hendricks Photo was founded
in 1860 by Francis Hendricks
as an art supply and framing
store in downtown Syracuse,
New York. Irving Savage
answered a
newspaper ad
for employment there in
1880 and over a period
of many years purchased
the
business.
Still in the
Savage family, and still
downtown, the business has
evolved into a true photo
specialty shop, featuring
sometimes hard to find items
like professional wedding
albums, folders, scrapbooks,
darkroom supplies, digital
peripherals, and used cameras
from antique to modern.
We are located in
Armory Square,
a revitalized historic downtown district. Driving

DIRECTIONS TO HENDRICKS
(it's easy from any direction):
From the North: take I-81 South, Exit 20
(Franklin and West St.),
follow signs to West St., take West St. to the 1st traffic light, turn
left onto Fayette St.. Our street, Walton St., comes in from the
right in 100 feet. Turn right on Walton St. We are the 3rd building
on the right.
From the South: take I-81 North and follow signs to
I-690 West.
Take Exit 11 (first one you come to) for West St. Go to first traffic
light, turn left onto Fayette St. Our street, Walton St., comes in from
the right in 100 feet. Turn right on Walton St. We are the 3rd
building
on the right.
From the East or West: take I-690 to Exit 11 west St.,
then same as above.
